Who we are

Founder & Principal

East Egg’s founder and principal, Yasmeen Ahmed Pattie, is a 20+ year veteran in relationship building and project management. She is known for her experience, enthusiasm, and her attention to detail.

Before founding East Egg in 2015, Yasmeen was the first consultant, and then the first employee, brought on to the New York Genome Center (NYGC). Yasmeen also worked in the incentives consulting practice at Akerman LLP, saving developers and companies hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes through City and State programs. From 2003 to 2007 she was at NYCEDC, focusing on the real estate arm of Mayor Bloomberg’s bioscience initiative. Before that Yasmeen was in real estate asset management and commercial lending for Northwestern Mutual Life in San Francisco.

Yasmeen received her degrees from Amherst College and the University of California at Berkeley, and is now teaching a class on urban design and innovation at Cornell Tech. She lives on Long Island with her family.
